DAYSPRING IS A MINISTRY OF LOVE~LIFE~LIBERTY
LOVE: This word speaks to our doctrinal foundation based on the belief that God so loved us that yet while sinners he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ for our redemption, and eternal salvation received by faith. We believe as we receive and yield to the love of God we then possess the capacity to love our fellow brothers and sisters of all race, creed, and culture.
1 JOHN 4:7-9 (NASB)
7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
LIFE: We believe God has created us to live a more abundant life being whole spiritually, emotionally, financially, socially and physically. Through teaching and application we will strive to exceed in all these areas.
JOHN 10:10 (NASB)
10The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.
LIBERTY: We believe the sacrifice Jesus Christ made at Calvary has given freedom to worship without condemnation through his blood and not by our works.
HEBREWS 10:19-22 (NASB)
19Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
THE CHURCH VISION
THE ACRONYM BREAKDOWN OF D.A.Y.S.P.R.I.N.G
D – DIVERSIFIED: We strive to cultivate a culture of worship, love, and unity amongst all ethnicity.
REVELATIONS 7:9-10 (NASB)
9After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; 10and they cry out with a loud voice, saying,
“Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
A – ADVANCEMENT: Through biblical teaching and practical application, we strive for spiritual, emotional, financial, social and physical wellbeing.
JEREMIAH 29:11 (NASB)
11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
COLOSSIANS 1:28 (NASB)
28 We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.
Y – YIELDED: By his grace, we yield to live a life of integrity that honors the Lord.
1 PETER 1:13-16 (NASB)
13Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”
JUDE 1:24-25 (NASB)
24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, 25to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
S – SERVANTHOOD: We shall serve our local assembly, community and abroad in humility as we demonstrate the love of Christ.
COLLOSIANS 3:23-24 (NASB)
23Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, 24knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
MARK 9:35 (NASB)
Sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
P – POWER: We believe the power of the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual authority over the enemy.
ACTS 1:8 (NASB)
“but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
LUKE 10:19 (NASB)
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.
R – RESOURCEFUL: We sow our gifts, talents, time, and resources for kingdom advancement fully persuaded that whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:10-12 (NASB)
10Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; 11you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 12For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.
I – INNOVATIVE: We will strive to be culturally relevant for the seasons and times through inventive ideas and applications.
MARK 2:21-22 (NASB)
21“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; otherwise the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear results. 22“No one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins.”
LUKE 2:52 (NASB)
52And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
N – NEW COVENANT CHURCH: We believe once converted by faith that the redeeming love of Jesus gives us eternal guarantee through his blood and resurrecting power and not of our works.
ROMANS 8:1-2 (NASB)
1Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
EPHESIANS 2:4-9 (NASB)
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
G – GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT: We believe the function and operation of spiritual gifts has been given for the edification of the body and witness of Christ manifested in the earth.
1 CORINTHIANS 12: 7-11 (NASB)
7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
As Lead Pastor I pray the vision and motto of Dayspring International Worship Center is embedded deep within our hearts as we advance the kingdom of heaven here on earth.
